Here’s a family portrait we took on Sunday, 8-23, for Lucy’s preschool. Yep, Lucy’s off to preschool (already!), starting next week. Even more amazing to me, Jay starts kindergarten next week! This is Lucy trying to look menacing before the ceremony started for my cousin, Sami’s, wedding last weekend. Lucy was a flower girl at the wedding and did her best to pick up all the petals dropped by her co-flower girl, Layla, and replace them in Layla’s basket as they walked down the aisle.
Finn is getting bigger (predictably) and is, so far, a pretty mellow baby (thank goodness!) who loves bathtime and enjoys watching fans, lights and swingy things that make jingly noises. Jay thinks Finn’s cute and tries to help comfort him when he’s upset. Lucy mostly wants to pat his head when he’s in easy reach and/or have mommy put him away so she can sit in mommy’s lap.
